Description

<< … I only know that in his body, in his face, I suddenly saw all the beauty of the world, all the force of nature, all the vigor of youth, all the momentum towards a future yet to be lived . And in those eyes that looked at me there was all the passion, the joy of giving and receiving, sincerity, innocence, malice … there was life. >> A Sicilian boy named Nicola disappears into thin air, all of a sudden, only to reappear, and then immediately disappear again, leaving an indelible trace in the memory of men and women who met him, wanted and loved … In the claustrophobic and rabid microcosm of life in the barracks, Andrea discovers an aspect of his sexuality that has remained in shadow until then, and tries to bring it to light, experiencing a bitter internal conflict. With evocative words such as the brushstrokes of a painter, Antonio Selmi knows how to capture all the most imperceptible nuances of the human soul. After Il postulante, an even more suggestive and intriguing narrative diptych.
